How does the explore pass work?

First, choose between a 50, 75 or 100 Explorer Point pass. You will receive a confirmation email with link a to activate your pass. When you have activated your pass you can start redeeming your Explorer Points for admission tickets to the attractions! Via this link, your Explore Pass, you can view all the attractions and tours, keep track of your Explorer Points and manage your bookings. You can find your admission for attractions in your wallet.

Is the pass fully digital?

Yes, the Explore Pass is fully digital, you do not receive a physical pass. The Pass is only reachable via your personal URL, which you receive in your inbox. Save this link for easy access.

Do I have to download an app?

No, you do not have to download an app. Your Explore Pass is a personal website that you reach via your browser. You do not have to download new software to use it.

Is there a child pass?

No, the Explore Pass does not include a child pass. Many attractions in Amsterdam already offer free or discounted entry for children. Introducing a separate child option would result in families paying for benefits they do not need, and our goals is that the pass is fair and cost-effective.

Can i just walk into the attractions when i show my pass?

No, you have to use admission tickets in your Explore Pass Wallet to enter attractions. The attractions can only let you in if they scan your redeemed tickets.
You redeem tickets by choosing the location you want to visit, the date and time and exchange your Explore Points for tickets.

How far in advance do i have to book my tickets?

For some popular attractions, you’ll need to book in advance to secure a spot. Check availability in the pass or on the attractions’ websites for more details. Keep the season in mind, as demand increases during school holidays.
