Ett museum helt enkelt
Är inte ett jättestort fan av van gogh men det var la fint. Inget som stod ut riktigt för mig men jag förstod att det är en populär sevärdhet. Boka i god tid! Förvänta dig inte att du kan dyka upp och kunna köpa en biljett på plats. Rijksmuseum finns i närheten - den var fantastisk. Fanns också en marknad utanför när vi besökte - kul!
Weekend i Amsterdam
Jag gillar upplägget av utställningen, och att audio va valbart höjdpunkter eller hela historien. Tips är att boka biljetter online minst en vecka innan, för de dagar vi va där så va museet fullbokat. Hade varit tråkigt att missa detta pga planering. Skulle definitivt rekommendera museet :)
Intressant och mycket att titta på!
Intressant att besöka, fanns mycket fina målningar att titta på och det var spännande att ta del av hans liv på det här sättet. Fanns audioguide om man önskade det men vi gick utan. Bra souveniraffärer med blandat utbud och vi passade även på att äta lunch på bistron. För min del räcker det att ha sett muséet en gång, men absolut värt ett besök om du ändå besöker Amsterdam.
Mycket sevärt
Ta en tur i museet, många fina målningar och hyr hörlurar så får du veta mycket om målningarna och Van Gogh. Gratis förvaring för väska och jacka.
Hälften van Gogh tavlor och hälften annat
Lite färre tavlor av van Gogh än vad jag trodde, men ändå en hel del. Museet hade också en hel del tavlor av andra franska impressionister. Lite dåligt att de inte hade en karta över museet. Man kan ha otur att få ett skåp som ligger långt upp och bara jättarna kan nå.
Fint men mycket
Bra museum men stort. Audioguiden lite påfrestande. Specialutställningen var intressant. Rekommenderas.
Värd att se
Det var en väldigt intressant utställning! Vi uppskattade att gå runt utställningen med hörlurar så man kundens i sin egna takt. Absolut värd att se.
Färgstark upplevelse
Underbart för att se van Gogh. Kom ihåg att ta en audioguider. Väl värt ett besök. Speciellt solrosen ska man inte missa.
Mycket folk men bra
Lite mycket folk, kan jag tycka, men utöver det är det ett riktigt bra museum med både fasta och tillfälliga utställningar.
Imprescindible
Imprescindible si te gusta Van Gogh. La audioguía no es necesaria pero está muy bien para ir escuchando su vida y trabajos a lo largo de los años. Es pequeño así que se ve bastante rápido. No perderse la tienda de regalos que está llena de detalles
Must Do In Amsterdam
The Van Gogh Museum is exceptionally well curated and easy to navigate. The collection of works by Vincent van Gogh is extensive, and the additional pieces from contemporaries add helpful perspective. The audio guide is well worth it, especially the Masterpieces tour, which highlights the most important works in a clear and engaging way.

Ma visite top one d’Amsterdam . J’ai adoré . Le musée est bien fait , il y a un vrai fil conducteur. Quelques œuvres célèbres de van gogh magnifiques à voir en vrai , aucune photo ne peut rendre l’effet .

Van Gogh Museum
Visiting the Van Gogh Museum was honestly amazing. Seeing the paintings up close and learning more about his life gave the artwork so much more meaning. The museum is well organized and easy to explore at your own pace. It was definitely one of the highlights of my time in Amsterdam.

Je ne suis pas adepte des musées de peinture en général mais celui-ci m’a fait changer d’opinion. Très bien agencé, nombreuses œuvres de Van Gogh mais aussi d’autres peintres. Je conseille fortement l’audio-guide. Le parcours Pièces Maîtresses vous fera découvrir les essentiels de Van Gogh avec toutes les explications nécessaires, sans jamais devenir ennuyeux.
Do visit this whilst in Amsterdam
Loved this visit far more than I thought I would. I like van gogh's work and knew a little of his life. However this museum explored his work and his life simultaneously so I gained a far greater appreciation of his works and looked at many in a new light. The relationship with his brother Theo was fascinating as was the story of how the museum was founded upon the altruism and pride of van gogh's family for Vincent's work. The experience touched me which I must say surprised me. A must visit if in Amsterdam.

L'œuvre et la vie de Van gogh est bien expliquée. Les salles permettent de bien mettre en valeur ses toiles et l'exposition nous fait suivre son parcours artistique et le situe bien par rapport à d'autres artistes de son époque et montre également son influence. A voir absolument
Super Musée
Nous avons beaucoup appris lors de notre visite du musée Van Gogh. Le parcours est clair, bien construit et permet de mieux comprendre la vie, l’œuvre et l’évolution artistique de Van Gogh. Les explications sont accessibles et vraiment intéressantes. Une visite passionnante que nous recommandons vivement, aussi bien pour les amateurs d’art que pour les curieux.

È stata una bellissima esperienza ! C’erano pure delle opere famose durante l’evento dei Pokémon , peccato che non davano più la carta ma ho ancora la cartolina che custodisco gelosamente . Opere meravigliose , tutto tenuti pulito in maniera impeccabile . Prima o poi ci tornerò

Moet je gezien hebben als je Amsterdam bezoekt. Talloze prachtige kunstwerken van meneer Vincent van Gogh. Wat een getalenteerde man en wat een prachtige man was het. Een trotse boerenzoon geweest en dit zie je terug in zijn schilderijen.

Great for art/Van Gogh enthusiasts!
Very modern, professionally organised museum/gallery - I wouldn't consider myself a particular art lover however with Van Gogh being one of the world's most famous artists in history I wanted to go during my visit to Amsterdam and wasn't disappointed. There are plentiful lockers to store your belongings in so you're not walking around in wet coats, carrying bags etc. and the café in the main atrium was nice to fuel up for the visit. The art pieces are spaced out well so only the most popular paintings are crowded and generally you can make your way around at your leisure - we didn't have a tour or audio guide (mainly because, as above, we're not that into art so wouldn't have benefited from this). The location of the museum itself was also well positioned for our trip to the Christmas markets outside, so if you are visiting Amsterdam in December this is something to note!
Great art, rude security!
Really amazing art and a must go if you are an art lover! Only thing I’d say is security were very rude to me on the door. Took a picture of the outside to show my mum I was there as the tickets were her birthday gift to me, and he refused to let me enter until I deleted the picture as he thought it was of him! It was embarrassing and left a sour start to the exhibition visit. The art and staff inside was all amazing!
Exceptional and insightful exhibition
Fantastic exhibition and well set out. The main permanent side was definitely worth the entry alone. Looking at Van Gogh development of his artwork was insightful. We did find the temporary side of the exhibition hall a bit of a disappointment but we’d already enjoyed the main part so wasn’t a big issue.

Exceptionnel musée pour un artiste exceptionnel. L'audioguide en français était particulièrement utile avec différents niveaux d'explications.

Fascinating experience
What an incredible enriching experience. We visited the museum with the audio book option and it was amazing. I strongly recommend this option not only for kids, but for adults also. It is filled with comments and insights on the life of Van Gogh that makes the visit even more interesting.
Fascinating, Well-Organized Museum
Not usually someone who spends a lot of time in art museums, but this was a great experience. The layout is clear and the collection is fascinating, even for someone who isn’t an art expert. Definitely worth a visit if you want to see Van Gogh’s work up close without feeling rushed.

I tried going to VanGogh Museum on last visit to Amsterdam but couldn't get tickets so this trip I made sure to reserve in advance. It was well worth the wait! Be sure to reserve your tickets.
Van Gogh Museum Amsterdam It is very busy but worth the hassle.
Just as I imagined, the magnificent paintings are something everyone must see. I was a fan before, but seeing them in real life brings you a totally different experience. The colors are so much more vivid in person, and you can actually see the thick texture of his brushwork on the canvas. It’s one thing to see The Potato Eaters or Almond Blossom in a book, but standing inches away from them is a total game-changer. I loved reading his personal letters too, as they made him feel like a real person rather than just a famous name. If you’re in Amsterdam, you honestly can't skip this—it’s a memory I’ll keep forever.
Awesome Collection
One of the highlights of our trip to Amsterdam was visiting the museum. The collection is so rich and varied, and seeing so many Van Gogh pieces in one place was truly unforgettable. We got there early and had the chance to enjoy the exhibits without the crowds, which made the experience even better. It was nice not to feel rushed since you can take as much time as you like once you're inside. If you're ever in Amsterdam, this place is a must-visit!

Read the wall captions at the museum
Very crowded, but the works presented here at the museum are never to be missed. Most room and work captions on the walls are well-written and very informative. Don't miss reading those. We viewed the temporary exhibition first at ground level and worked our way up floor by floor. Some people seems to go up first and work way down. I think our way is better. Don't miss the huge projected screen when you're going up and down stairs. Suddenly, the stairs become very nice photo spots. Try to be there early. We did 9:30 am slot. A must for anyone who's visiting Amsterdam or Netherlands ^^
Loved it!
I was genuinely surprised at how much I loved our visit here! 1) Book tickets online in advance. 2) The audio tour is brilliant and well worth paying a small amount extra for. I loved that even on the audio tour you could choose three versions, depending on how much time you have and how in-depth you want to listen. 3) Store your items in a locker - it’s free and nice to walk around with nothing to carry! 4) Either go early or go late, it is really busy in the mid afternoon. 5) Drinks are quite expensive but at the cafe, however, I saw a couple of free water fountains so bring a bottle (or buy a cool Van Gogh one while you are there!) The gallery itself is beautiful and you’ll be so pleasantly surprised at how many paintings he did!

Musée très intéressant et instructif sur la vie de Van Gogh et la place importante de son frère dans sa vie. De magnifiques œuvres de l'artiste y sont exposés ainsi que celles de ses sources d'inspiration. Prévoir 2h de visite environs
A réserver à l avance
Nous avons pu acheter des billets la veille mais nous avons eu de la chance. Préférez une visite à l ouverture pour avoir (un peu) moins de monde. La visite en audio guide est bien et permet de bien comprendre la vie de Van Gogh L expo temporaire est un zoom sur sa relation avec la famille Rollin. Visite incontournable pour un séjour à Amsterdam

Wonderful place to see these originals. Lovely restaurant too. A must see for art lovers. It's also in a lovely location so plenty of other places to see and visit nearby.

This museum is a must see if you are in Amsterdam. We spent more than 2 hours inside. Get the audio guide. Don’t even think about it. It is worth every single penny. It was mesmerizing to see the paintings and learn about Van Gogh in detail.
Exceptional museum and audio tour.
This is a truly exceptional museum. We reserved a 9AM Saturday in November,. so crowds were very manageable throughout a 2-3 hour visit. The audio tour was excellent, and a must if you don't have extensive prior knowledge about Van Gogh. Staff were plesant and helpful. The definite highlight of our visit.
Interessante tentoonstelling die zich in de periode in Arles afspeelt.
De tijdelijke tentoonstelling heeft de verschillende schilderijen van de familie Roulin samengebracht. Niet slechts 5 stuks maar veel meer, verschillende versies. E.e.a. geplaatst in het tijdsbeeld in Arles. Erg leuke tentoonstelling. Voor degenen die er niet eerder zijn geweest: ook de prachtige vaste collectie bekijken!
Enjoyable overall but not extraordinary
Interesting exhibits that provide a wholistic view of Van Gogh and his life. I enjoyed learning about the bond he shared with his brother and how his sister in law and nephew championed his work after his death. The museum also addressed his mental illness respectfully and reminded visitors that was just part of his story, not his entire life. I was disappointed Starry Night was not exhibited or even mentioned anywhere. Maybe a licensing thing? Also, it was hard to get up close and study the more high profile paintings because there tended to be people crowding around the most famous works and taking pictures. This was especially annoying considering an infinite amount of pictures of pieces such as Sunflowers can be found online. The gift shop was very nice.
Inspirerend, maar altijd druk
Let op dat je vooraf boekt met een tijdslot. Bij elk bezoek weer staan er mensen in de rij die geen toegang krijgen. Mooi bezoek aan de basiscollectie. Prima audiotour, met verschillende verhalen en keuze voor meer verdieping. Voor de kinderen leuk opdrachtenboekje met aardig presentje aan het einde. Stel je er op in dat het druk is. Het kluisjessysteem is wat aan de ingewikkelde kant met een code en een afbeelding die je moet onthouden. Mag ook gerust 'gewoon' met een sleuteltje. Door de drukte ontstaan er opstoppingen voor de terminals. Zelf vind ik bij een tentoonstelling de combinatie met de vaste expositie te veel worden voor één bezoek. Audiotours bij tijdelijke tentoonstellingen ook altijd dik op orde.
Nice Miseum
It’s a nice museum with nice art works and explanations. There is free lockers and backpack are not allowed in the exhibition, so they need to be left in the free lockers.
Incontournable
Ce musée est assurément un incontournable d’Amsterdam. Nous avons prix la visite audio en supplément (4,5€/pers) qui permet de mieux comprendre l’artiste et de pas se contenter de regarder. La visite se fait de manière chronologique dans la vie de VanGogh et se fait en 2h environ. Nous regrettons seulement que l’ensemble de sont œuvre ne soit pas ici.
Museo da non perdere.
Esperienza da non perdere assolutamente. Tante opere spiegate molto bene dall'audioguida. Molto carina anche la mostra permanente. Da vedere e rivedere.
